We are also a pro-business State Government committed to maintaining a business friendly environment with efficient mechanisms of governance to ensure complete bureaucratic transparency in our dealings with the private sectors.
We will continue to advocate pragmatic economic policies that are investor-friendly and ensure the judicial management of our assets and resources to sustain continuous growth.
Johor, having advanced ahead into the 21st century and into an age of information technology and e-commerce, will accelerate efforts to maintain an export-oriented economy driven by high technology, knowledge-based and capital intensive industries. We are committed to position Johor as the region's leading hub for foreign investments.
To achieve this vision we have established the Johor State Investment Centre or JSIC. It marks a paradigm shift in Johor's push for industrialization.
The JSIC is established to set in motion smart partnerships with the private sector to position Johor in good stead for the coming years.
I believe the JSIC has what it takes to become a major catalyst for a new Johor. And my hope is that you will take this opportunity to allow JSIC to help you find a place in dynamic Johor. All the stakeholders - the people of Johor, the private sector and the State Government - are important partners in this task.
